Membership Requirements and Application

While Psi Beta at IVC welcomes anyone interested in psychology, there are specific requirements to qualify for full membership.  Psi Beta is a national honors society, so many of these are academically-related qualifications required for membership.  Again, even if you do not meet these qualifications now (new freshman, not enough units, or unable to meet any other requirement) you are still invited to participate in all Psi Beta meetings and events throughout the school year.

To be eligible for full membership status, the student must:

 

	Have completed 12 units of college level (degree applicable) courses
	Have completed at least one college level psychology course with a grade of “B” or higher
	Have an overall college GPA of 3.0
	Have good moral standing in the community
	In addition, applicants must pay a 1-time, lifetime fee of $50.
